Something else I’ve been meaning to tell you about is Start the Story, a new digital magazine being put together by me and my old mate, Tommy Donbavand. It’s aimed at teachers, librarians and parents, and is full of exercises designed to make writing lessons much more exciting for pupils. The Scottish Children’s Book Award 2012
This happened ages ago, but I haven’t had time to stick it up here on the blog. I can belatedly announce now, though, that The 13th Horseman has been shortlisted for the Scottish Children’s Book Award 2012 in the older readers category. Woo-hoo! It’s up against some stiff competition – namely The Prince Who Walked With Lions by Elizabeth Laird and Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein.
