I had a seemingly endless number of technical problems while trying to get this thing shot and edited, and the finished video is nothing like I had intended. It was really just cobbled together from the few bits of footage on the video that hadn’t been corrupted by the faulty tape heads.
Anyway, this is my first attempt at a Mr Mumbles teaser trailer. I’d love to hear what you think – good or bad – so please do leave me a comment below.

For some you say was cobbled together it is still a pretty chilling introduction to your book (can’t wait to read it!). Love the use of the stuck record and the shot with the shadow cast on the wall. Would it have been too gruseome to have some ‘blood’ dripping from the axe as it hans by Mr Mumbles’ side?

Cheers, Darren. I did actually do a version with blood dripping from the axe. Unfortunately the problem with the camera meant anything moving went pixelated and blocky, so the drips looked like big abstract drops of Lego blood. The shot of the axe in the video is actually about a tenth of a second long but slowed down so it filled the length I needed it to fill.
