Project IFR: Some revelations

Author: Barry | Filed under: Children's Books

For reasons I can’t quite fathom, I originally wrote this entire post in the style of ITV’s News at Ten, complete with the word BONG written in big letters between the headlines. I realised, though, it made me seem weird, so I deleted it and started again.

First up, an apology for my poor guesswork. As you may recall, I recently picked up a copy of TIM – Defender of the Earth. Before starting to read it I made the assumption that it was about a bloke called Tim, who may or may not have defended the Earth from a big giant dinosaur.

Since then I’ve begun to read the book, and I was miles off. From now on I’ll be careful to get all the facts before opening my big mouth.

Or, indeed, using my big fingers on the keys.

Anyway, apologies to those of you who feel betrayed and misled by my incompetence. I hope you can somehow find it in your hearts to forgive me in time.

Now onto more positive news – Project IFR now has a title! It’s only a working title at the moment, and it might not be the one I go for in the end, but at least I have one.

However, I’m not going to tell you what it is yet. You’ll just have to wait for that particular nugget of info!

What I will tell you, though, is that it’s a horror series. I can also reveal it doesn’t involve vampires, werewolves, ghosts, or any other standard horror genre characters. Oh, and it’s scary. VERY scary! Or so the people who’ve read it tell me, anyway.

On an entirely different note, I have just bought a car off eBay. Picking it up involved harrassing a friend of mine to drive me 100 miles, then we both had to drive the 100 miles home. It’s a Mazda Xedos 6, and if I get the urge I’ll post some pictures later!
